Full Moon Night Hike- Monay Trek (BEG+)

Details

Moonlight Mountain Trekking Event:
Leave town at sunset reach the trailhead at 9:00 PM.
HIke 1.5 hours to our 'evening relaxing zone' where we will have tea and cushions and snacks for a nice break before completing the loop.

Its an easy trail to follow here, We will take advantage of the moonlight though we will still need head torches.

However, we can't start at sunset, the moon does not rise until 9 pm and that's an important part of what we're looking for to get some spectacular dramatic views of the nightscape. Dark is just - dark. We want the moon!

This hike is just off the Sharjah/Kalba Highway, 1.5 hours from Dubai. The hike is about 3 hours over varied terrain, up a boulderey wadi, down a plateau where you will see ancient settlements (the remnants of them).

Kids are also welcome to participate as they will enjoy this hike as well, especially if we are going slowly. Please keep in mind that anyone that this is classified as a beginner hike for people that are participating in fitness activites on a regular basis. However, provided that you run, swim, bike, or do fitness classes regularly, you will enjoy this great beginner hike, suitable for all ages, for a morning getaway.

The hike will take you on a flat section through the wadi, and over the ridge for an amazing view of the Hajjar mountains. We will not go over the steep scree ridge for this night hike, so hiking shoes are NOT required (a rare exception)
