Rwanda Uganda: Gorillas, Volcanoes, Canoes

5 Day Experience: 8500 AED All Inclusive

Overview and Activities

Day One – Arrive in Kigali, Rwanda

Visit Genocide Memorial, Nyamata Church Memorial Site and Hotel Rwanda.

Day Two – Activity options:

Climb the Bisoke Volcano, hike to the Diane Fossey Memorial, or visit the Cultural Village

Day Three – Starting in a local village, we will follow our guides and track Rwanda’s Golden Monkeys before beginning our journey into Uganda

Day Four – This is not the usual Gorilla Tracking experience.  Most groups will simply arrive after the trackers have already found the gorillas.  Our group will actually track with the trackers. Wake up well before sunrise and start the day with the trackers.  You will learn how they locate the gorillas, the signs to look out for, and how fast they move.  Since you arrive at the point where they last saw them the day before, they could be anywhere, so you need to be fit enough to stay up with the trackers! You are rewarded by being the ones to actually find the gorillas and inform the others that they are located and they should now be ready to join you.  After you return, you will freshen up and have your dinner "safari style" on the top of a mountain to watch the sunset.

Day Five –  Explore the culture of Uganda villages. We will vIsit the local schools and learn about the various community  projects that we support in this area.  We will have a more relaxing day here with other optional activities available before we head back to Kigali.

The 5 day, 4 nights experience includes:

4 nights accommodations and meals on full board basis at the hotel.
